Amira Industries N.V. (Amira) is a family owned industrial conglomerate. Amira was founded in the early sixties in Iraq in Baghdad as a manufacturer of stainless steel products for the local market and export in the Middle East. Under the brand name Fire King Amira manufactured water heaters and central heating units and under the brand name Snow King Amira manufactured air conditioners, water fountains, and air coolers. Amira at the time also established one of the first ironworks and forges in Iraq known as the Iron Works Factory.

Since its inception, Amira branched into a variety of industries such as oil & gas (services), mining, environmental remediation, (soft) commodities trading, construction, telecommunications and financial.
